“We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone!”
Duval Spring Fest started over a decade ago on the campus of University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. Founded by Dez Nado and a few fellow college friends who shared a love for music and live performances, they built the event into a repeat success using grassroots promotional strategies and their shared networks and platforms on the college music scene to consistently deliver a high-quality event based solely on local/independent artists and musicians. After graduating with his master’s degree in Mass Communication in 2014, Dez decided to bring Spring Fest to the ‘next level’ and begin organizing the event each year in his hometown of Jacksonville. He and his network of friends and associates started small, but quickly the platform grew as they established Spring Fest as a unique brand in the northeastern Florida/southeastern Georgia market. Noticing the immediate potential in the market for the event platform to flourish, they launched two accompanying cable TV series and other corresponding event platforms like Jax Summer Fest, which follows Duval Spring Fest each year as the summer finale, in support of the Spring Fest platform and have since developed a loyal viewing/attending consumer base. Now in its 12th consecutive production year, Duval Spring Fest weekend has earned an average in-person attendance of 2,500 for the last 3 full in-person event weekends (not including the pandemic shut down year of 2020), an average online consumer reach of over 75,000, and an average combined media platform viewership of over 30,000 consumers per long-form airing with an active online engagement of over 7,000 consumers per week during event season (March-September).
